Lattes Keeping You At Night?

After a long day, I often reward myself with an evening latte. But too much caffeine could keep you up all night. Before you treat yourself to that extra cup of joe, you might want to read this.

A shot of espresso from an Elektra brand espresso maker.

It turns out that too much coffee and tea can end up costing you Z's.

According the Mayo Clinic, more than 500 milligrams of caffeine a day can cause many problems including restlessness and headaches. Here is the caffeine content of some of my favorite drinks:

Black Tea (8 oz.) 47 milligrams.

Green Tea (8 oz.) 30-50 milligrams.

Espresso (1 oz.) 64 milligrams.

Brewed Coffee (8 oz.) 95 milligrams.

Caffe Latte (16 oz.) 150 milligrams.

And don't forget about soda pop, twelve onces of Coca-Cola contains 35 milligrams of caffeine.
