Really Simple Chocolate Pie by Kate posted on May 7, 2008 |

This is quite possibly the simplest chocolate pie you will ever make. Everyone who tastes it will think you spent hours in the kitchen.
Heat:
In a microwave safe bowl add:
2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate (prefer Scharffen Berger)
1 stick of unsalted butter (at room temperature)
Microwave on high power until butter and chocolate are melted. Take care not to burn mixture.
Mix well with a fork and let cool for 2 or 3 min. (make sure the mixture is not hot when you add the eggs or the eggs will scramble instead of mixing in with the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter).
Add:

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Sift:
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Add everything together and mix until all ingredients are well blended. Make sure not to over-mix.
Pour mixture into standard pie dish.
Bake:
At 375° for 25 minutes
Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If the toothpick is wet, then it needs to go back into the oven until the toothpick comes out dry.
Garnish with berries, dust with powdered sugar, and enjoy!.
